Desmond Ovbiagele, a former investment banker with Citigroup and Standard

Chartered Bank exited the banking industry to pursue an abiding passion for movie

production. He wrote, produced and directed his debut feature film, Render to Caesar,

a crime drama which was selected to compete for the Etalon de Yennenga

at the 25th edition of FESPACO in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso in 2015. Render to

Caesar also won the award for Best International Feature Film at the 2014 Nile

Diaspora International Film Festival, Kampala, Uganda, in addition to being an

Official Selection at the 2014 Pan African Film Festival, Los Angeles, USA, and the

2015 San Diego Black Film Festival, San Diego, USA. In addition, it received 9

nominations at the 2014 Nollywood Movies Awards (winning Best Original Screenplay

& Best Supporting Actor) and 3 nominations at the 2014 Best of Nollywood Awards

(winning Best Screenplay & Sound Design).
